The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation

The objective of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (DASTI) is to promote research of high international standard. The Agency’s activities are therefore geared towards establishing the best possible environment for research. The Agency administers the funding that is earmarked for independent research and for thematically defined and politically prioritised research areas. To create a basis for the strategic research programmes or other focused research initiatives, the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation prepares analyses of the research needs of specific research areas. The analyses identify technologies and new scientific advances that are expected to have a powerful influence on our competitiveness, prosperity and welfare.
